You still get the advantages of a custom PC — standard, upgradeable components and no proprietary hardware — with a complete system that is ready to use when it arrives.
How long is the TechBytes TROY warranty?
Every TechBytes TROY gaming PC includes a 3-year parts and labour warranty and lifetime technical support.
If a covered hardware component fails during the warranty period, TechBytes will diagnose the issue and repair or replace the defective component according to our warranty policy.
Can I upgrade my TechBytes gaming PC without voiding the warranty?
Yes. TechBytes gaming PCs are designed to be upgradeable. Installing or replacing components such as RAM, storage, graphics cards, or other compatible hardware does not automatically void your warranty.
However, the warranty does not cover damage caused by improperly installed components, incompatible hardware, physical damage, or damage caused during an upgrade. Original TechBytes components remain covered according to the warranty terms.
Does TechBytes provide support in Canada?
Yes. TechBytes Computers is a Canadian gaming PC builder based in Quebec, and TROY customers receive direct technical support from our Canadian team.
We provide remote troubleshooting, warranty assistance, hardware diagnostics, repair support, and lifetime technical support for TechBytes systems across Canada.
What happens if my RTX 5080 fails?
If the RTX 5080 in your TechBytes TROY develops a covered hardware failure during the 3-year warranty period, contact TechBytes technical support first.
We will troubleshoot the issue with you and, when necessary, arrange for the graphics card or complete PC to be returned for diagnosis. If the GPU is confirmed defective and covered by warranty, TechBytes will repair or replace it with the same model or an equivalent component based on availability.
Does TechBytes cover shipping for warranty repairs?
Shipping coverage depends on when the warranty service is requested:
- First 30 days: TechBytes covers shipping costs for approved warranty repairs.
- Day 31 through the end of Year 1: The customer is responsible for shipping the PC to TechBytes, and TechBytes covers return shipping after the approved warranty repair.
- Years 2 and 3: The customer is responsible for shipping costs to and from TechBytes. Covered parts and labour remain included under the warranty.
TechBytes may perform remote troubleshooting before authorizing a return to determine whether the complete PC or an individual component needs to be sent in for service.
