Our No-Hassle Policies
Shipping & Returns
Everything you need to know about getting your new PC to your door β and what happens if it's not quite right.
We get it β you're shipping an expensive PC. Here's how we protect it.
- Free shipping across almost all of Canada Every order ships free to any province or territory β the only exceptions are Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, and Yukon, where remote shipping costs are simply out of our hands.
- Tracked, every step of the way You'll get a tracking number the moment your PC ships, so you always know exactly where it is.
- Signature required on delivery Every system ships with a signature requirement β no packages left on the porch. It lands directly in your hands.
- Packed like it's our own Foam-lined boxes, GPU supports, and snug internal padding β every build is packaged to arrive exactly the way it left our hands.
1. Warranty Shipping
If something goes wrong with your system, who pays for shipping depends on how long you've had it. Here's the breakdown for a confirmed, covered issue:
| When you report it | Shipping it to us | Shipping it back to you |
|---|---|---|
| First 30 days | On us | On us |
| Day 31 through end of Year 1 | On you | On us |
| Years 2 and 3 | On you | On you |
Your parts and labour stay covered for the full 3 years either way β this table is just about who covers the courier. Sometimes we'll ask for just the faulty part back instead of the whole tower, which keeps things faster and cheaper for everyone.
2. Keep Your Box (Just in Case)
We'd recommend hanging onto the original box, foam inserts, and GPU support bracket for as long as your warranty runs β they're the safest way to send something back if you ever need to. No original box? No worries, we'll walk you through how to package it properly for the trip back.
3. 14-Day Returns
Not the right fit? You've got 14 days from delivery to send it back. Just reach out first so we can get you a return authorization before anything ships β that way everyone's on the same page.
To make the return smooth, we just ask that the computer comes back in the same condition it left us: no physical damage, and with everything it came with β box, cables, accessories, the works.
4. Changed Your Mind?
Totally fine β it happens. If you're returning a working PC simply because it's not what you expected or you no longer need it, that's a change-of-mind return. You'll cover the return shipping and we'd suggest grabbing some shipping insurance for peace of mind. We can provide a prepaid label for convenience, and its cost comes off your refund.
5. Refunds
Once your return lands, we'll take a look and test everything out. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method β timing after that is mostly up to your bank or card provider.
If anything's missing, damaged, or the restocking fee applies, we'll let you know what's being deducted before we finalize things β no surprises.
6. Restocking Fee
For a standard return of a working, non-defective computer within the 14-day window, there's a 5% restocking fee on the computer's price (before tax, and not counting shipping). This doesn't apply if we sent you the wrong item or there's a confirmed defect β that one's on us.
7. Bought Through a Marketplace?
If you picked up your TechBytes system through Best Buy, Amazon, or another marketplace, that platform's own return process usually applies first. Your 3-year warranty still stands regardless of where you bought it β you may just need to start the return through the marketplace itself.
